Dark Souls Remastered Vs Dsfix
Never had much of an issue with it, just had to manage the camera to mitigate the worst. It is an area where looking where your feet are at is generally the safest option anyway.Seriously though, in terms of overall 'experience', I enjoyed the game tremendously on PS3, and I'm having a good time now on PS4. I do appreciate a nice smooth framerate, but hand-on-heart, I don't believe any of the DS series really benefits in terms of actual play running 30fps.It looks nicer, sure. But I don't believe it makes much difference because the game was designed and tuned for that base frame-rate in the first place. For me Bloodborne reigns supreme still, despite it being running at the lowest framerate of any of the series on current-gen hardware. Skipped around a bit and to me the remaster looked worse in like 4 out of every 5 comparisons. Not from a technical perspective but definitely from an design one.
Dark Souls Dsfix Screen Tearing
A lot is lost in terms of ambience when they brighten up places. The Sif fight in particular looks terrible, or look at the texture from the silver knight armour, it went from looking used and worn to being shiny and new.I guess for people that only ever played it on console the increase in resolution and 60fps make a big enough difference to make this worth it. But aside from that this is a pretty terrible remaster.
