Bag bar with two bags equippedA bag is the generic term for any that a character uses to hold other. Inventory space is a critical resource in WoW and inventory management is an important aspect of game play. Using more and larger bags to increase available inventory space is a key aspect of character development.Bags are equipped for use by placing the bag in the at the right-most end of the interface bar where your is. Your backpack is actually a special bag that cannot be moved nor be replaced.

Bags can be stored in your inventory (unequipped), but bags inside of other bags must be empty (thus they do not nest more than two deep). You can purchase up to seven extra for your account at progressively increasing rates, starting at 10 for the first slot, 1 for the second, 10 for the third, leveling to 25 for the fourth through seventh. Bags in your bank slots are considered to be 'equipped' (for purposes) but not 'being carried'.

You can swap out entire bags between your bank slots and your carried slots. The inventory in your bank, including bags in bank slots, is shared with your carried inventory for some purposes, in particular for restricting items. Quests which require items that you have in your bank inventory will show up as complete even though you cannot turn them in until you retrieve the items from the bank.Normal bags can hold any sort of item, unlike special bags that can only hold specific types of items.

Special bags give the player more slots to store items than regular bags of equivalent level (and are generally cheaper than regular bags of the same size), with the trade-off of only being able to put certain types of items in them.Bags are not displayed on the character in the game. The only visual difference is the icon used in your bag slots, your bank bag slots, and in your inventory. If the bags are the same type (hold the same kinds of things) and have the same number of slots, then they are roughly equivalent (but read the section discussing restriction). You may find the different graphics useful in organizing your inventory.

The search feature will darken the items in your bags that do not meet the entered search criteria. I don't sell too much in the way of Hyjal Expedition Bags as it is about one every couple of days. The Molten Front bags are gated behind 3 weeks of dailies, which makes the profit margin quite a bit better, but it's still roughly a couple a week at best. I'm going to try to continue selling the molten front ones for a little while, but not expecting much tbh. I feel fortunate that old expansion bags have remained relevant at all. I think the herb/mining bags still have a place, as gathering toons tend to stock up on a couple of these. I was wondering the same thing. Numero de serie nero v9. You can even label a bag to only receive 'Trade Goods' so any tradeskill related stuff goes right into that specific bag.

Since everything stacks to 200 the sorting feature kinda makes those tradeskill specific bags obsolete imo, especially if your bag is huge like a royal satchel.Pretty much - in beta all raw materials stack all the way to 200, so I'm barely even scratching the surface of my 200 slot reagent bank. It's a significant QoL improvement, especially for people with bank alts. Engineering bags are at least still useful to carry all your gadgets etc, and maybe gathering bags might still be worthwhile to some people, but beyond that they're pretty useless now.Well if they had the courtesy of moving 90% of the engineering gadgets into the tool box where they belong there wouldn't be much justification for this bag either. But I take it they're making a point of not doing that just for the sake of not doing that. The other bags, yes they are pretty useless outside of niche uses.

Like when you're out farming until your bags burst. Or when you managed to fill your reagent bank up to max. But with the new stack sizes these a darn insane things to do really. I'm already in the process of replacing bags on my toons. Judging from the amount how the reagents tab fills up for me in the Beta, which is rather quick.

Nope, the profession bags still have use to them.I am 'only' a scribe and herbalist. My reagents tab is about 1/3 full. And I don't produce any glyphs for a trade operation, nor do I go farming sprees for herbs either. I'm rather passive with the professions. Cooking and fishing too I am basically neglecting both entirely. From that evaluation I know, how once in full swing on a crafting profession, you still run short on space again. Hold on to those bags, every slot is still valuable.

Also worth noting that SoHs will be boe in 6.0. Bots should be crashing the price pretty quickly once they start listing, which means cheap Song of Harmony, so cheap Royal Satchels. On the bright side, dirt cheap SoHs is also a subtle nerf to Arch (you can buy crates with SoH)Didn't even think about saving my SoH for my archy grind. Good idea. Also, I retract my 'profession bags will be useless' - fishing/food bags might be worth your while. Different types of fish in each zone and 3 different sizes mean they'll be obnoxious for bag space - they do stack to 100 though. I'm throwing this out there.

I have no idea if this is what will happen, but if it does, it might be worth snagging a few 36 slot profession containers.I played a hunter in vanilla and got the epic 24 slot quiver. At the time they removed quivers I believe the biggest bag was only 24 slots, and they just converted all quivers to bags. So I ended up with not an obsolete quiver, but a free 24 slot bag.Obviously profession bags are much more common, but I wouldn't go vendoring your toolboxes just yet. I'm throwing this out there. Quiver bags had 0 purpose at all while profession bags still work. They are just in-efficient unless you are working with truly ludicrous amounts of mats.
