Beats Solo Vs Beats Studio
I went from the Solo 2's to the Studio Wireless. The Studio's, in my opinion are 100 times better than the Solo 2 Wireless. Also Apple/Beats releases software updates for the Studio's which I like because they are always trying to improve the sound and I think also the battery.
I do not believe the Solo 2 Wireless gets software updates. The Studio's are also way more comfortable than the Solo's, especially if you wear glasses because they go over your entire ear. The Dual-mode Adaptive Noise Canceling is also amazing, good for a plane/train/bus ride where you do not want to hear anything.
One of the Adaptive Noise Cancelling modes does not allow you to listen to music, it just blocks outside noise. I also love them because they connect to my Apple TV (4th Generation) which the Solo 2's would as well, but its great because if I want to listen to music, movies, or something like ESPN on my Apple TV late at night in my apartment complex it does not bother any of my neighbors.
If I were you I would jump on those Studio's, especially at that price. I paid full retail from Best Buy which was something like $370, and with tax came to $413!!!
JUMP ON THOSE STUDIOS!!! Are they on sale now at Best Buy, because if so I am taking mine back to see if they will adjust the price. I have the Blue ones and the finish is awesome, and I have seen all the other colors in person and the finish is amazing on those too! I went from the Solo 2's to the Studio 2 Wireless. The Active Noise Cancelling Mode (which does not allow you to listen to music) is also amazing, good for a plane/train/bus ride where you do not want to hear anything. Click to expand.The one thing for me though is the that for me with the V-moda M-100 is I can't wear my glasses with them on.
I actually have a minor issue with sight so I don't consider it a deal breaker either way. I found the Solo 2's to be better with glasses though based off my experience with the wired solo 2's which i lost and the M-100 which are over the ear headphones. As far as ANC goes I am not particularly a fan of it but is a nice feature to have i guess.
I take the subway to school during rush hour around 3-4PM ( Night school) and I found the Solo 2's to pretty much drown out any noise on the subway. Pretty much the only reason why I am thinking about getting the Studio wireless is the music quality worth it enough to spend about $40 more on? Simple answer is yes! Also, at the price you are getting them for it should be a definite yes! When I had the Solo 2's, after a little bit my ears would start to hurt because they were on the ear pressing my ear against the glasses, with the Studio's I can listen for hours and I have absolutely no problem at all. I will just say it again, at that price definitely pick them up. They are much better in sound in my opinion and reviews on different websites.
They also have the “Beats Acoustic Engine” which uses DSP (digital signal processing) which I do not believe the Solo 2's have. I have a pair of the Solo HD's Special Edition which are wired and these Studio's blow those out and those Solo HD's are good headphones. For that price, pick them up, you will not be disappointed. Just remember to update the firmware before you do anything else. Also, are all Best Buy's having these on sale, because like I said before I will take them back for a price adjustment. I would get approximately $163.00 back! My son has the solo 2 wireless and I have the studio wired.
If the wireless studios sound exactly like the wireless, I'd like to sell my wired and get some wireless. The studios, imo sound way better than the solo 2. Perfect for my ten year old son?
Yes but for me, I love my studios.I have been looking in Amazon the last few days bc I was blown away how much cheaper they are there than BB. $379 I saw today at BB. The matte black which is what my wired ones are, are only $264 on Amazon.
I'd like the metallic sky or titanium though, but are at a little higher prices. For as close as what the wireless solo 2 are going for, the studios are a no brainier.Way better, imo. Simple answer is yes! Also, at the price you are getting them for it should be a definite yes!

Beats first gen headphones did suck but the 2nd gen ones are pretty good relative to themselves as a headphone.
Are they a tad overpriced? Probably but these 2nd gen products the studio 2.0 and solo 2 both bring really good sound to the masses now but once again relative to beats. While a tad overpriced the mass now have access to decent sounding headphones which is the one positive thing to take out of these products.What I find funny is how much love v-moda gets there considering the LP was just a cheaper version of the studios without the ANC.
Had the same rattling bass and that's about it. The m-100 is one of my favorite headphones though. V-moda has a v curve sound signature and these new beats follow suit though beats treble is recessed a bit where I would say the m-100 stops short of being screeching.I guess in the end I am trying to justify having two pairs of over the ear headphones since I would have to choose between the v-moda m-100 and the studios and I'm pretty sure the m-100 are better. First, they were too tight but in sure that could be improved over time.

Second, the sound did not fit what I was looking for. Didn't sound bad, but not as enjoyable to me as the studio. Again I now have the studio wired but would like to try the wireless.I would also like to try these ghostek sodrop BT headphones that all I have read about are awesome things. The are also $90. People say the sound is better than much more premium headphones and they are all leather and aluminum.

I am a basshead not a treble head lol. I love bass but while I don't hate treble I don't like the extension that the Studio offers compared to the Solo 2's. Plus the saving of $30 bucks is enough of a reason to exchange them back at Bestbuy ( God they must hate me there atm lol but I'll just go to a different one). I will be listening to them for the rest of the night to make a decision but this will be my final one lol.All in all I find the Solo 2's to be more comfortable so that is probably going to be the deciding factor for me. Ignoring the beats logo the solo 2 are actually quite decent and for $150 are quite solid and you can easily find the red ones for $150 on Amazon.
They are a bassy and fun headphone not meant for reference at all. If your a basshead who wants good sounding headphones in the $200 price range the solo 2 are fine. As I said in the start of the thread I don't want to get into any arguments about this yet you ignored it completely. If you hate beats good for you? I don't care. I am specifically asking for people's opinions on these specific types of headphones because I want a bassy headphone and Bluetooth and I narrowed it down to these two.The lows are what they are but controlled unlike the originals and the highs are recessed which is a nice change considering they were screeching on the solo HD.
Mids are recessed but good enough for most music these headphones are targeted for.
